70’s nostalgia is sweeping clothing racks this spring. If a trip to the mall or local shopping district isn’t enough to convince you; if the bell-bottomed jeans in Madewell windows and corduroy button-up skirts at Topshop aren’t enough to convince you – then this surely will.
In an exciting first collaboration, Kork-Ease has teamed up with Free People to release an exclusive shoe, the HEIGHTS platform. To make HEIGHTS a reality, we dug deep into our archives to pull the design together; a four inch platform, soft leather straps and an adjustable buckle. The same silhouette that stood in line at Studio 54, and romped around the country when disco fever reached a pitch.
From there, we picked four nostalgic suede leathers that perfectly capture what was worn in the ’70’s: bleached distressed denim, rust suede, tan suede and off-white snake. The result of the collaboration is the best wedge possible to complement the spirited Free People Spring 2016 collection.
